Father,
Burn away the false comforts and set us free. You alone are the Comforter. Forgive us for finding comfort in so many things that are not You. Burn away the chains of old comfort. Make us desperate for You. Break our old ways and habits. Set us free!
in Jesus name, Amen.

Add whatever needs to be added...
Matthew 7:7-8
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
Jesus told us to ask, seek, and knock. That sounds rather persistent, doesn't it? If I ask and don't receive my answer I should begin to seek. When I am seeking, when I find a door that seems to be closed I should knock. That shows persistence.
Pray without ceasing....
